Remove All shortlink from the forum. #1
As we know short-link real frustrate when it come to downloading.....i see whole combo-list section is full of short-link...i am too using but decided to stop it as we hardly don't make any money from it....

Kindly force user to post direct link..Action must be taken it high time to block all shortlink...

What links/file hosts are you specifically referring to?

Any form of short links/redirection entailing popups and the like, Is not permitted.

This is actually already against the rules (under the Respecting Others heading). The best thing to do it to just report the post for using a shortlink and staff will deal with it from there.

as i see other forum use some kind of plugin to to stop url like file-up.org ,exe.io etc...... and you saying simply report kindly check the combolist check whole section is covered with shortlink .... 70% link are short link ... how long we will keep reporttingg....

Staff cannot possibly keep an eye on each and every thread 24/7.

Use the board's Report feature.

that what i am saying , plugin will do the job once setup...like we block tempory email same way plugin will help to block the link and dont allow us to post once url domain/name is there.

There's many ways that plugins can be circumvented, such as link spacing, special characters added (with the OP stating to remove them), and so forth.

Mothered is correct. Also, please remember, every single time MyBB is updated, each additional plugin creates more work to do during these updates. Understandably, we rarely implement new plugins, and they can be circumvented even when we do have them.

I understand your concerns about the section, but I cannot stress this enough, please report them. I am happy to spend time going through the shortlinks.
