Non-tech skills section #1
There are a lot of hobbies we all have. Cars, guns, woodworking, metalworking, etc that could generate interest in the forum and draw people into the more technical side of the place as well as drive more content that's less mundane.
I'd personally like to keep this kind of stuff out of General/Random, @Oni wants to know how much interest there is.
If you see this thread, please vote in the poll

RE: Non-tech skills section #2
I voted yes, it may be interest.

By the way, talking about sections, there is still this suggestion which need to be considered: https://sinister.ly/Thread-Undecided-Design-category

RE: Non-tech skills section #3
I'd argue most of this can go in the Lounge, but we can always make a section. Post some metalworking/guns/etc. and maybe I'll make it a thing.

I actually support this suggestion.

In my view, I think a sub forum named "Hobbies & Interests" (or some variant) will focus on specifics, thereby attract attention. After all, everyone falls Into this category to some degree. You have my positive vote.

I actually quite like this idea. Although, I certainly think we should reflect this by our activity. I often assume others may not be interested in my particular hobbies (outside of sections that exist on SL), but the reality is, there's no harm in posting about it in the lounge. I actually may start posting more about hobbies in lounge. There's no reason we can't do that. For me, I don't really discuss my hobbies even in the Discord (which is where many people do, I've noticed).

If we all start doing so, we may generate enough activity to warrant a new section. I think I prefer "Hobbies & Interests" for the title as it's a little more encompassing, and can include people who are new to something, and may not consider themselves skilled, yet.

RE: Non-tech skills section #6
I'd like to suggest anybody writing threads for this possible section prefix their thread title with
[Hobby Section]

RE: Non-tech skills section #7
I think this would be a very nice addition to the forum. Not only great for everyone to learn about everyones hobbies, but maybe someone will find out about something new or find someone here is doing the same thing.

So definitely voted yes. Great suggestion!

IF you make this section I will bother you time to time xD ; @"Dixon" and I will bother you with a lot of fishing. Good Idea, one more yes.

Each and every user has a hobby or at the minimum, some type of Interest, so I can see this generating a healthy amount of traffic.
