These tutorials are more so aimed as a general guidance to cracking/reverse engineering programs and applications.

In my experience of reverse engineering, almost every methodology differs from one application to the next. I even came across one software ("System Mechanic" at the time), whereby the actual "version" required a different approach. Check the tutorials out and take It from there. You may be able to locate and Identify the string(s) responsible for the remote connection and Inline patch It (without the need to unpack It). No doubt, you will need to formulate your very own method based on the task at hand.
