TV Insurance Scam #1
Since I learned something that interests me in this forum, I decided to contribute a little in return.
This is a simple guide on how to get a TV.

What you will need:
1) Find a NEW TV on ebay which is broken or damaged, I usually get 65"-75" worth 1200-2000Є, bought such for 100-200Є.
2) Be sure to use a full house insurance - probably this part is different for different countries. Where I live it is common to have an insurance and its cheap.
3) Hang on a wall, or put on a table, remove the plastics if there are any, make a photo of damage.
4) Open a claim in insurance company, stating that you dropped a tv, or that you stepped on a childs toy and broke it, or a child broke it by accident.
5) Some insurances ask for POP, others dont. For the ones that do, just use "receiptmansion"
6) Get a refund for a total value of the tv, or a fixed tv (which is rare, as screen costs same as tv)

This method is working for over 10 years now, never bought a TV other then that. Experiment with your insurance company, read the contract before hand.
Tip: Try buying a TV from other country (ebay), to avoid double insurance.
Tip: We have done multiple different insurances with the same TV (we bought some 6-10k worth broken ones).

Nice guide.

In terms of the Insurance claim, be sure to check the amount of excess you'd need to pay (If any).

Really good tutorial. Thanks you for that contribution.

Thanks. Different country has different insurance regulations, but TVs rarelly have excess fees (so called franchize fee).
Nice community here you have Wink but for how long? Why not make the forum visible to logged in people? Now anyone can google every post, feels very unsafe.

Yes, actual house insurance. You usually can insure everything you own inside, which opens oportunities. In 10+ years insurance payed me well, let it be house realated, or car realated.

It's not the nature of the Item that determines an excess fee, but rather the Insurance claim Itself.

Put simply, when a claim Is filed, excess Is payable - regardless of whether It's a TV or a bottle top opener.

As I said before, different countries, different rules. Where I did insurance SE they dont charge anything for laptops and tvs, but they charge for phone screens.

Of course, It's not possible to speak for each and every country and their Insurer.

My post Is based on how Insurance companies generally operate.
