You don't even buy the psu? You get a photo of serial number from ebay advert and then photo shop damaged pin on the psu and they send a brand new one?

Yeah or you can also go disposed of faulty item route which may take longer but you will get a fully new unit with all cables most likely. If you bought it however it would make it slightly easier as it would eliminate the chance of you using the same serial number as someone else and you get a clear picture of the S/N. The method is very unsaturated only 2 succeses (me & mister) have been reported so I don't think this is a problem anyway.

This forum helped me complete my first few SE's and helped me buy my first proper laptop from nothing. Each SE needs some time inbetween and a new adress which I don't always have acces to so I share it so others can also make the most of it. I don't want to be greedy and let others have a piece of the cake most people who SE aren't the wealthiest so why not help out a bit.
