Pretty informative, thanks.
Not the answer I wanted to hear, yet was to be expected : jewelry stores sell at a premium pawners wont pay for.

At the end of the day if you want to cash out on high priced jewellery, then you must take bigger risks and think creatively. In my opinion the jewellery sector is untapped and waiting to be SE'd, if you become a test monkey you might just gain some very valuable info that people would love to pay for.

Wouldnt say it is untapped but definitely less saturated based on the low popularity of jewelry threads. People do post about their successes here from time to time. The rest dont share those kind of details on public forums...

yea this and the rest. amazon refunding came out already at least 13 years ago, then think about all of the free sharing/resharing and 10% refund fees. all of that is to thank for the saturation and bringing unnecessary LE attention to it

While I'm fairly confident in my ability to successfully SE, I'm rather worried about being able to sell the stuff afterwards.
Knowing nothing about this notoriously-obscure market, experience from an OG would be greatly informative.

Gold is fungible. Does it make it easier to sell than diamonds?
I would imagine the latter can only be sold with certificate provided by the store, increasing traceability.

In both instances, ID probably required by the store buying?
Or find some shady OTC buyer & greatly discount selling price... ?

Any input appreciated!

Cant help you out but could I ask a Q in PM ? Would like to know some stores in EU assuming youre from EU Smile

Thanks man, grateful for your answer!

Did you end up keeping the items for yourself, or sold them?
- If sold, did the buying stores ask for ID?
- How much $ did you get from initial buying price?

I see all these gold buyback services IRL & online.
Would imagine they only offer some rate at gold's market price by weight (i.e. 60$/g).
Or do they account for the fine jewel's craftsmanship?
i would try to se gold pamp bar pendants if legit those are solid 24k gold in the middle hard to track instead of the watered down 10k gold that people put in chains
