You can make every SE work. It pretty much depends on how good your SE skills are. Also being able to manipulate a person is very needed for almost every SE.

Well, it's never a bad idea to start small. Try to SE some easy things first ( Small electronics, food, pens, ... ) before trying to SE bigger items. Good luck!

Dell told me they would send a technician tomorrow. They said if it isn't powering up, it is a problem with the motherboard and they will come and replace it.

Is there a method I can utilise to ensure next time they issue a replacement. I'm good at SE, but not good with computers.

Is what they told me true? If not maybe I can call them back, otherwise I'll get another serial number...

I'm in the process of obtaining the serial number of a Thinkpad T420. My hardware right now is ancient, so this thread interests me. I'll keep the thread updated if anything happens.
