+1 for Signal, but also -1 for Signal because Moxie forces everyone to install the Google framework for Signal to work.

+1 for WICKR the only other alternative secure messaging app I will use, I think it also DOESNT need GAPPS which is awesome.

I am VERY interested to hear from anyone who is using the FireFox OS. I wanted to try it, but they don't support very many phones.... plus I think it will suck to only have a few apps to choose from on the FireFox store anyway.

CopperHead doesn't support very many phones and I think the Android team will steal all of those features soon anyway.

I've always been super paranoid about fingerprint scanners, because your biometrics are stored on a computer. I even think that some machines would send them straight to big brother. That's why I avoid devices have scanners built in, and also why my friends give me weird looks if I have to use an iPhone and I press the home button with my knuckle.

Good information, I personally use cyanogen mod as it gives me further control over my phone and a huge level of customizability.

Totally, I couldn't agree more, but that's not very smart of those people. I mean typing in a password takes about 3 seconds longer.
