Spoiler: HIDDEN
Hello, today I am going to show you how to SE a tablet. This might have been leaked to the public so I am not sure. However, it still works but takes some time to do. You can speed the process up by calling them, instead of emailing them or using live chat. Well let's begin, shall we?
Site: www.kobo.com
Now Kobo is a really unpredictable company to be honest and they can ask for anything for example serial number, model number, photos, or even proof of purchase. I say have them ready before you begin. Use amazon for proof of purchase and change order number to a real one.
Steps:
1) Pick the tablet you want to SE and make sure it's offered in amazon. Find a serial number for the tablet which is under warranty as it might be required after.
2) Go to their support page: http://www.kobo.com/help and select the product you are trying to SE and click "Contact Customer care " after. They will give you different options to contact them. Again, I recommend calling them and speaking with a real rep to speed up the process.
3) Now basically tell the rep that your tablet is not turning on or it is not charging. Come up with stuff that will lead them giving you a replacement.
4) The rep will try to troubleshoot the problem so pretend like you are trying them and keep saying no it didn't work. Now they will create a RMA request for you and can ask for model number, serial number, proof of purchase and even pictures along with your address, email and phone number. Send them the information they require.
5) If you did everything correctly, they will transfer you to second level support (I know what bullshit, just give me the fuckin replacement already lol).
6) The second level support will ask you to troubleshoot again. They will make you do battery reset and shit. Just keep replying saying that the problem still persists.
7) Finally they will offer to replace the tablet. Done! Enjoy your free tablet!
It is a lengthy process and might take a week to do but calling them will make it 10x faster trust me. Also try to sound worried when you call them. Well that's all for this one, thanks for reading. Please leave a rep!
