How to SE HP Monitors [Easy] 04-26-2016, 10:41 PM

Hello, I will teach you how to SE HP Monitors. You have probably seen this method around but I will try to make it simpler. HP offers advance replacement and require VCC with $1 USD and not any VCC will work. Even if let's say a VCC does work, they might cancel the order after. I personally buy VCC from this guy as mine have failed before. I also recommend using a drop for this method as HP have known to send bills before. However, bills can be ignored as they don't investigate.
Now I would recommend SEing a 23'' monitor or less in size because these fall under their radar. Their radar picks up replacement orders of any size bigger than 23'' usually. For this SE, you will need a serial number and product number (model number) of the monitor you want. Look for one in Youtube unboxing videos (filter it), eBay, or even in-stores.
Steps
1) Call HP Customer Support. To get the right number where you can call at, use this link" http://support.hp.com/ca-en/contact-hp
Basically enter your HP model number and call the number they show you.
2) Once connected to an rep give them a reason why they should replace your monitor. Think of some things that can happen to a monitor. Like you are seeing some crazy shit on the display or a simple one I love to use: "Hello, the monitor is not turning on. It was working fine yesterday and now all of a sudden it doesn't turn on anymore." If you say this, they will try to trouble shoot it. Usually they be like, do you see a light on the power cable and respond by saying "Yes the light on the power cable is on and working."
3) Just go along with troubleshooting and eventually the rep will say "it seems like you have received a defective monitor and it needs to be replaced."
4) Then the rep may transfer you to a supervisor as they can't process replacements, only the supervisors can.
5) The supervisor will now ask for the VCC so have one before hand and they might even offer you faster shipping but say no to that offer. Be like ground shipping is fine.
6) They will then give you a order number which I suggest you write down somewhere so if something happens afterwards you can give them a call back with the order number.
7) All done! In a day or so you will receive your tracking number where you can track your shipment down. Enjoy your monitor.
I want to mention that they only send you the monitor itself not the whole package. So the power cables won't come with the monitor. Thanks.
