Edited the wife part to son. Also, I've never had any issues with this as far as them recognizing the voice goes. They're always super polite when you go in to get the replacement.

Also note that if you're 16-25 and you are being the son, that it is possible that your voices sound similar, in addition to that over the phone, most people's voices sound deeper than in person, especially during your late teens.
