I was just wondering what the best possible method would be to Social Engineer a £2000 Gaming PC that has been purchased from John Lewis, The delivery service used by John Lewis was "DPD", and one thing to note was that the driver rang the door bell and left this very expensive package outside my door, and on the tracking website they claimed that "Your parcel has been delivered and received by SHAY at 09:50 on Sat 19 Nov 2022" when I was not even present to begin with, as can be seen in the delivery photo below.

I would be immensely grateful if you could advice me with what you think would be the best course of action to take in regards to Social Engineering this item.

Hi guys, got another good one for you lot.

Ordered some PC components from CCL online. They use DPD.

I received the 1 hour slot from DPD and waited for my goods. Delivery driver did not ring on my doorbell or call me, instead he went and left the package with one of my neighbours who I never authorised.

I got a DPD notification saying a Mr Luke has got the package and a photo of my neighbours door, no package in sight.

I instantly went and grabbed the package ( 6 flats are next door ) and I got buzzed in by the neighbour who did see me and i just said its my package. I don't think he has ever seen me before and I had a hood on.

My plan is to go back tonight and ring the neighbours bell again (or get my brother to do it) and ask him if my package was there. He will likely say someone came to collect it yesterday. I will say oh really I wasnt at work what did they say there name was? The delivery driver left it in the main reception for the flats and i do not want the neighbour to get any heat. I called CCL online who said they will raise investigation with DPD.

Any suggestion so recommendations?

i had recently ordered a 5600x and managed to open the cpu box top without cutting the seal or making it look obvious with a blow dryer lol... im thinking can i return my cpu cooler and a old cpu in the box and seal up back as normal will it get overlooked when returned as its black friday week or probably not? as i tried to eb and they wanted a pr so that option is a bit long. someone said they refund but then try to chargeback or ban your account i dont mind losing the account but will i get the money back?
or should i claim i recieved the wrong item, as the old cpu and cooler will be in..?

you also reckon while putting the old cpu and cooler into the new box i should claim wrong item recieved or something else below.

Amazon won't fall for It - they thoroughly check returns.

Why not SE the CPU Itself? As such, you can easily box them.

what do you mean se the cpu itself as in ordered the cpu without the cooler?

and i had already claimed eb for the package however they wanted a pr as the weight was weighed before delivery apparently

new situation today i had opened the seal with blow dryer without tearing the little tabs on it so was thinking to return the old components with the seal intact wasnt sure whether to say wrong item or just refund due to something else but even then theres a little cut out that shows the cpu other people say they can dismiss this

just thinking for the easiest least amount of information inputted as the pr wanted a bunch of stuff and cant say dna as i had a otp so im not sure what to do in this case.

could i not also just replace the cpu use the sealed box method as i didnt damage seal keep the fresh cpu fan in there return for idk better price elsewhere and if they do ask after a while returning asking for the correct item i can deny and say this is what i had recieved and then seeing the fresh cpu fan compared to my dirty one would help support it along with the untampered seal?

Amazon checks/opens sealed box returns.

When they do, they'd know that It's Impossible for the manufacturer to pack an old CPU. As such, Amazon will be firm with their request to return the correct one. Moreover, It's their policy to dispose of Incorrect returns, so say goodbye to your CPU.

could it not have been in circulation from someone else doing the same method i just ended up being unlucky?..and stick to thats what i recieved

otherwise what would be the best way to go about this or method to take as i already tried to eb and it was shot down with weight and needed pr report , what did you mean exactly by why not just se the cpu, in this situation or if i had ordered without cooler just the cpu

i also do not care for the old cpu its a Athlon one that was spare and not being used thought it could replace the gram difference of the actual cpu
