Interesting to know whether way back machine would have worked.

I believe it won't cache videos content, too much data. Also wherever there is authenticated pages, it won't have access to them.

It cannot cache every web page/site.

For Instance, If the owner of a given site has added exclusions (User-agent: * Disallow: /) In the robots.txt file, It cannot be crawled and cached.
