Tracking Manipulation discrepancy #1
This is an on going SE at a electronic/camera store in similar lines to B&H.

Carrier used: UPS
Current status of Shipment: delivered
Current status of Tracking: delivered to a UP-s Acess point pick-up location near the Store's warehouse

On-transit manipulation was processed(Delivered to a different pick-up location than current), but the CS insisted to wait a couple days. Now the package has arrived, the tracking is edited to the current status(Manipulator did not have ability to change the tracking to "returned and delivered to the sender".

The CS has sent me an email last night, inquiring if I had received the package(have not responded yet), which never has happened in my previous SE processes.

Tracking Inconsistency:
1. Time Inconsistence---the package was marked delivered to a pick up point in another state, the day after it was marked delivered to receiver. (this has been changed to "delivered to another pick-up point)
2. The "signed by received" marking is there visible, which indicates a sign of proper deliver. an hour after the package is marked as delivered to another state.

Can I play the gullible card and push thru this claim?

Thank you,

The rep/agent obviously does not know the whereabouts of the consignment, hence the email asking whether or not you've received the package.

Evidently, It's working to your advantage thus far.

Based on the above events and on the grounds no new evidence has come to hand, hit the SE accordingly.

I have thought about what evidence they may have, but they only have suspicion. The tracking obviously seems manipulated or shows a error of discrepancy in high level.

In case of UPS in Norht America, I am wondering the chance of them reaching out to the delivery man for status. He may remember this delivery and reach out in person. My roommate has answered the door and has received/signed the parcel.

Would you proceed at thus stage? @mothered

Thank you for your response as always

If you're absolutely certain of that, then they do not have grounds to pursue the matter any further.

In terms of manipulation, wouldn't It point the finger at the buyer?

With UPS drivers delivering In excess of 110 packages per day on average, the driver must have an exceptional memory to specifically recall the events of your delivery.

Obviously a fake signature, yes?

I first need to assess everything above.

@mothered

Thank you in advance,

"A trace/claim was opened for this package last 5/3/11. UPS closed the investigation last 5/5/22 because there is a sign that was obtained in [my city].

Please confirm if you now received the packages"

Is this safe to proceed?

Thank you mothered,

Are they the only details you received pertaining to UPS' Investigation?

Yes that is correct.

Someone else in the house signed, but the current tracking shows manipulated final destination as a up.s aces p0int near their warehouse.

Was It a fake signature?

So the tracking demonstrates that It wasn't delivered to the correct destination, which obviously works In your favor.

This is their claim denial email from the CS:

"Our Claims and Security Team thoroughly reviewed the entire order and it shows via [carrier] site that the package was signed for and delivered on [original arrival date] in [customer's city] with a signature. All the items were delivered to the same shipping address but the receiver moved to a different state on the same day, [original arrival date] and the package was redelivered to a new address in [another city near the warehouse]. If UPS had some issues in sending this back to us, they will notify us but we didn’t receive any notification since it was successfully delivered to your shipping address.

We regret to inform you that this claim is denied and we're unable to issue any refund since UPS has a proof of delivery on [original arrival date]"

The signature was done by my roommate who was available at the time of arrival, so it is most likely the name initials or first name.

currently CC chrg bck is being considered, but concerned for less than ideal tracking manipulation that is clear to anyone. Also considering popular rddit account w a lot of karma upvotes to make a post to grab the CS attention to process the claim.

Any follow up approach recommendation is highly appreciated.

^ This Is what contributed to the claim being declined.

You have very little to no evidence In support of your claim.

That said, you've got nothing to lose with a chargeback, so give It a shot.
