For context.

I'd like the opinion of Denuvo from the general PC gaming demographic here. I'm sure we're all well aware of their numerous accomplishments, such as slowing down loading times and being cause for frame drops to outright increased heating of your hardware and latency issues due to excessive checks to make super sure you're online and that the game is legitimate with zero guarantee you get to keep your game once their servers inevitably go offline. Though the most egregious of the group, these things are nothing new when it comes to DRM's blatant disregard for property or even usability. Were you to ask me, DRM in general is simply legalized malware and refuse to have it on my computer to the point where I sadly can no longer play MH:W.

However, Denuvo themselves do have a fairly more brilliant and noticeable reputation than the rest, at least superficially. My question to all of you then is what are your opinions on it? Do you tolerate it? Do you even let it touch your computer? Is it worse than any other form of DRM or is it just one we know about the most?

It definitely causes major performance issues, especially when your hardware is just barely managing to make it by running the game, Denuvo hurts that even more and I've seen it like hell.

However, Denuvo does do an excellent job of what it does, and even though its not the giant impenetrable system it once was it stands to be some of the best DRM available on the market. That being said I hate DRM and I know that even if it was deprecated it would only do so because of a new and even more impressive DRM system was released.

Denuvo is a shit DRM and they need to search another bussiness. They are making huge money from a service that is not guaranteed to work.
