I just saw an argument over Nas and Chief Keef, so basically a legend vs. an upcoming rapper.

Both users had strong points but I think comparing people to legends at such an early stage is stupid. Maybe in a few years, yeah, but this early in their career? No. This is just my opinion, though.

Basically I'm asking if you like artist's such as Biggie, L, Pac, Pun, Nas, people from that era or people like Chief Keef, etc.

Quote:My personal opinion lol, yeah I do prefer his music over Nas. You can't really compare the two though as Nas has been rapping for ages and has a ton of achievements.

Keef will get there though, if he stays out of trouble.

My post from the other thread. You can't compare established rappers to newer ones. I never said that Tongue

I simply prefer newer rappers because I've heard pretty much all of Tupac, Biggie etcs songs so they get boring after a while, whereas people who are new and alive are constantly producing fresh stuff.

I will always love old school>New Era. Don't get me wrong there are many artist out today that are great rappers like Kendrick, Joey BadA$$, A$AP, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, Action Bronson ect, but nowadays rappers aren't producing what real hip hop is. Its just a catchy beat with 1st grade rhythms and a vocabulary of a kindergarden.

You should make like a review database. It would be hard work, but it would be awesome. Put them in alphabetical order and everything.

True but oldschool doesn't stand a chance anymore. I've always been a heavy Pac etc fan until a year or so ago when I started loving the new guy.

Like Branno said, what do you mean by a review database?

Although I don't like rap a whole lot.

I don't think that like you should compare a person still trying to find their style against someone that is very well known and respected in a field that's just asinine. Sorry if this wasn't the response you were looking for.
