The best im system?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering what you think the best im system is;

Skype? Its easy to use, but has many exploits and accounts are easily jacked.

Aim? It has better security, but it is kinda hard to use.

IRC? It costs but it is a very nice system.

Please post others below, and if you use them!

Skype accounts are not easily jacked if you take measures against it.
IRC is fine if you can pay for it.
AIM is disgusting.
I use jabber (Pidgin) and it works fine for me.
I also use clearview, a custom and private chat client. Wink

Ok, may I ask how you take measures against skype being hacked?

Also, when you can I am going to join Jabber.

Hide all your info, change the email you signed up with, change the date of birth once in a while, make sure your privacy settings are good, and do not add people that might have it out for you or your account. Overall, Skype is not very good.

Ah ok, I think I will just wait till jabber registration is up then I will use that.

That is weird that it is down, should be up soon though.
EDIT: They are moving Databases so this could take a while. Sign up using one of these xmpp providers - http://xmpp.net/

It doesn't matter. Just choose the one with the extension you like.
