The 'Strange Genre Fusions' Thread #1
Listening to Classical music combined with Screamo? Pop music with bagpipes? Or any other weird combination of genres or instruments that somehow sound great together? Post em here.

I'll start off with two of my favourite albums:

Kkrusty - A Change Could Do Us Some Good
Genres: Breakcore, Chiptune
You know chiptune? That happy 8-bit beeping and booping like 'Anamanaguchi' or 'Slagsmålsklubben'? Now combine that with the ear-destroying beats of Breakcore, and you get 'A Change Could Do Us Some Good'. This unexpected combination of aggressive drums and synthesizers somehow results in a really enjoyable experience. The album consists of 15 decently short (~2 minutes) songs, with enough difference between them to make sure that the album doesn't overstay its welcome.

Musica per Bambini - Dio Contro Diavolo ovvero La Girella del Guitto
Genres: Hiphop, Breakcore, Acoustic Rock, Screamo, [Acapella]
This album is a beast of a whole different caliber; it has no clue what it truly wants to be. The artists' name seems to be innocent enough: 'Music for Babies'. But the moment you fire up this album, it's clear you're not in for peace and quiet. The album's opener, 'D.I.O.', blasts off full-speed with screams, breakcore drums and irregular tempos. A bit after this all-out assault on your ears, you're greeted with 'Una Carriola Di Carriole' -- a complete 180 in pretty much every department. After 5 minutes of calmness, you're greeted with 'Il Cimitero Degli Istanti' again -- if you fell asleep during the last song, you can be sure that you're awake again by now. Repeat this about 10 times through the entirety of this 29-track long album, and you're in for a hell of a treat -- if your definition of a treat is a bipolar breakcore album.
