Target SE Help ($4k item) #1
Hello,

What would be the best method to SE an expensive camera from Target? It is sold by a third party vendor. I have an aged account from 2020 with a $200 purchase on it. I did not refund that item because I never knew about SE at the time. Would DNA work for the camera?
FedEx delivered the package and also took a picture of the box. Signature was not required. The picture shows the box and just a small glimpse of my front door/porch.

What's the weight & dimensions?

Also, Is It packaged with a factory seal?

Individual seller or a company on a medium to large scale?

Does It conclusively Identify your home?

The package weighs 7.00 LB. The dimensions are 16 x 12 x 3 IN.

What does a factory seal look like? There are only FedEx stickers on it. The "From" address is from a fulfillment center.

The camera is sold by Focus Camera. So I guess it's a medium to large scale company.

I don't think it conclusively identities my home. Aside from the bottom of the door showing in the photo there is really nothing else.

I’m not exactly sure what the method is for Focus Camera, but it’s most likely something along the lines of filing a PayPal claim… However, please keep us updated on your SE!

3kg Is rather significant.

It can obviously be DNA'd or the WIR and depending on Its packaging, the sealed box method.

A security seal placed by the manufacturer.

So the box can simply be opened without the need to peel anything off?

It's fine.

They have 200+ employees and a revenue of 28+ million per year, hence It's fine to SE them.

If you're absolutely certain your home cannot be Identified, the DNA Is good to go.

I thought I would provide an update.

So Target basically said I should file a PR with the authorities because Focus Camera would not provide a refund without the item being returned first. Well, guess the DNA was a fail haha.

My goodness.

How are you supposed to return an Item that was never received?
