@mothered - No, didn't use them. I remember in 1999/2000 all the systems in school didn't had a antivirus and someone got their hand on Netbus (a  Remote Administration Tool)  and installed on all computers. Norton was installed after in all system to prevent users from playing with others.

I actually remember Netbus In the late 90s, but I haven't touched It since.

I've been on many boards over the years and a lot of users didn't/don't approve of Norton products but In my experience, they do a very good job with their overall detection and protection.
