It's not online.

I still need to decide where Its new home will be, whereby the risks of having It on the net are down to the bare minimum.

ofcourse, keep us updated on the forum when you make that decision .

Item arrived from sweet water, i emailed them to start the SE. They asked me to get on the phone with them to help me. I would like to avoid that, what can i say to hop around that one and keep the conversation email only. I was thinking of saying i am in the process of switching phone providers.

Switching phone providers can be done within the hour.

Email them and say you've lost your phone.

smart guy. delivery guy signed off on the package and left it in the wrong spot so this looks like it will succeed so far.

Ideal to DNA It.

If they use the signature as proof of receipt of goods, request a copy be emailed. Obviously It won't match yours, thus you'll have significant evidence to support your claim.

you are the man. Also, another question regarding a desk i ordered which i talked about in another post. The company (thomann) is requesting a recipients declaration, paper that i sign and states i did not receive the package. I shouldn't be alarmed right?, and go through with the SE still? This package was also signed by the delivery driver as well giving me some advantage.

yes they asked me to fill it out to continue investigation with the carrier.
The paper has the following:

Subject : Recipients Declaration

According to the shipping provider, your shipment has been delivered. We will submit a
claim and initiate the trace process for the parcel with the courier. Please complete,
sign and return this document to us:

1. I confirm that I have not received the below shipment.
2. The location of the below shipment is not known to me at present.
3. I will inform Thomann GmbH immediately if the below shipment is located.

(right after this it asks to fill out tracking, my personal information, signature etc )

side info: desk came in two separate pieces/packages in two different days, both were signed by the driver and left unattended.

There's no declaration, affirmation, or nothing of the sort to verify that what you're saying Is true and correct to the best of your knowledge.

Even If It Is a legally binding document (which It Isn't), It holds no grounds for the reasons above. As such, It's perfectly fine to sign It.

Although DNA'ing two packages arriving at separate timeslots raises suspicion, In this case, the driver's signature Is a huge advantage to claim nonreceipt of goods.

Unless they're half-asleep on the job, they will make every attempt to decline the claim, but you have enough evidence to justify that you didn't receive the packages.
