How much was your order? Did you use both methods?
Got too many methods, I don't know which one to use today.

It makes sense they'd wisen up, after how easy it's been. Wonder if the same now applies to Rayban/etc.

Order was <$500. Used EB via chat first then DNA through phone call
I can see DNA not working, since that method as a whole has been played out. But with the EB method I have always done it over the phone. I notice the chat option tends to be more strict, where actually talking to a live rep who can just approve your claim. But very interesting news to say the least.

Raybans website still says they fully insure lost or damaged shipments, so it should still be good. It was for me around 2 weeks ago.

What "forms" are they requesting? What do you mean by "in-depth investigations" exactly?
What reasons did they give you for denying your SE - did you not comply with the forms/investigations?

Requesting forms and performing an "in-depth investigation" isn't a deterrent or sign that a place is "dead" - to me, at least - it really depends on what those forms are, and what their investigation looks like.
Forms and investigations are pretty standard in the case of a DNA/EB with a lot of companies. It would make sense they'd start using them if they're being hit frequently, as a deterrent for lazy SE-ers/fraudsters who don't want to put in work.
If they're denying ALL DNA/EB on the basis of no longer being liable for lost/stolen packages, that's another story, and an important distinction.

What was their exact reason for the declined claims?

Their stated reason for the EB denial was “Given available information, we have determined that the product was indeed included in the package upon shipment.”

A very poor reply - It's not even a reason.

Accurately define: "given available Information". It could be anything, perhaps Irrelevant to the claim.
