[Suggestion] More visible grave digging prevention #1
Ok, so I use some other forums in addition to this one, and lately there has been more grave digging from other users. I know it has a small box over it where it says "This last post in this thread was made 90 days ago. Please only post if you have a good reason to". But to me that's not enough, as it is really easy to miss.

So my suggestion would be to have like a box you would have to tick, before posting. Which tells you the grave digging rule.
Something similar to this.

Edit:
An addition to this would be a setting so you could turn of the checkbox, still have an more prominent warning. Compared to what we have today.

As I do agree I personally find it easier to tell if the thread has exceeded the 90 days, probably because I naturally work it out. (Author of the thread, If I had ever seen the thread before, Date of thread etc).

I don't think a checkbox is necessary, although it could be visually improved so it's easier to identify.

I think it is a good idea while having some issues. Obvious @Aeolian has a point in saying that its a given whether posting will be gravedig, however putting in this checkbox creates a sort of confirmation, that way when they post they blatantly posted after agreeing to the checkbox.

I don't think its necessary, but its a cool idea that I wouldn't mind seeing.

I'll agree on this situation. We barely ever have people that grave dig on purpose. So it wouldn't be something that someone would see too much of.

I think this is a good idea... Get's my vote.

@Oni whaddya think?

Both sides of this argument are pretty solid, but I do think it's a good addition. For long-time members, it's easy to identify a dead thread, but it can be a challenge for newbies.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

Which can be prevented if it were more visible.

As of now it's just a grey dark box at the bottom which tbh is difficult to realize it's there.

I don't blame them for missing it.

Mmmmh I don't know. I don't agree to the gravedigging rules anyway.

I mean I hate gravedigging but there should be more clear rules instead of "no gravedigging allowed" in general for all topics.
I hope you guys understand that almost 99.5 % of the forum's content is locked or members can't reply on because of the gravedigging rules.

It's not locked, you can still technically reply, you just aren't allowed to.

I think it's a nice idea, but probably not necessary.
