Just wanted to let you all know that the broken item/damaged item method works pretty good with the ipads. Favorable outcome within minutes of making the claim. The store was a big box retailer (not amz) Also the value of it was over $300.
Got too many methods, I don't know which one to use today.

Congrats!

Could you elaborate on the method a little bit? I'm curious on how you did it.

Thanks! The broken item method of approach is pretty much what @mothered has written in his blog, but added my own little sauce to it (you should always add your own sauce to it) to make it more organic (real) and not like a robot reading a script. Hope that helps.

Target seems to be the one. But it feels like even though the item is considered "high value" it is still not expensive enough for them to interrogate you Zero Dark Thirty style lol. Plus my twist on the method made it seem more fresh, instead sounding like I'm reading a teleprompt.

Can you elaborate on this if you don't mind. With this method, did they ask you to return the broken/damaged item?

Target Is extremely easy to SE with an array of methods, particularly In-store.

I've hit them countless times and have yet to fail.

The trick to that is convincing them that you can not return the item for any number of reasons like health and safety concerns, ect. Be creative.

If I had known they were that easy, I would've hit them harder lol

Absolutely.

They haven't changed much over a 35 year period - just as vulnerable nowadays, as they were back In the late 80s.
