Hello SL

Need help with this issue before you say anything ( I DID LOTS OF GOOGLING about the problem and none solutions helped to fix mine )
Ok going to tell all story from beginning
I have this Acer laptop which is great never had problems with it until now
Couple months ago it started to do this weird thing when I plug power cord in laptop just shuts off then starts again then when it starts booting Windows/Linux it shuts off again and starts again and does that over and over again.
So I tried to turn laptop on without using power cord and guess what it perfectly boots up and works until battery dies. But doesn't work with Power Cord. I tried to turn on laptop without power cord and then plug it in when its fully boot up but it instantly shuts off and starts doing same thing.
Then I tried to google for the answer and the possible solutions I found was
Bad power cord ( So I changed it to new one but it still did the same )
Dead motherboard ( But if motherboard was dead it wont even boot up or allow me to enter Bios )
Battery dead ( but battery can't be dead if I leave laptop off with power cord in it charges up so when I remove it I can use the laptop *also battery holds like for several hours so can't say it's that bad* )
Then some other solutions like taking out battery for 10 seconds then putting it in while holding power button and so on and none of that work.
So I ran out of ideas what could this be so came here to ask you guys maybe some of you have encountered this problem and found a fix for this.

Sounds to me like the charging receiver on the laptop is damaged. Its not dead by any means but it sounds like its quite damaged. I would be worried that it could spark and start a fire personally

If your laptop is under warranty bring it in and ask for a new motherboard.

Can I change the receiver myself? Pretty sure I am able to do that if it is even possible to change it.
Also it has taken some hits before it got this problem so I guess thats probably can be the case of this issue. It was dropped on the ground not from high distance but still.
Makes sense now why it is not working properly.
*I don't use this laptop now since it doesn't work properly so I just don't use it. So no fire
I got this laptop years ago so warranty has ended.

I'm fairly certain this is a faulty battery. I've had multiple clients come to me with the problem you are describing, and almost any time the machine will only power on with the battery removed the battery is at fault. Replace the battery, (with a official OEM battery) and see if the problem continues.

but still the same problem persists.

Double check if there's a power slider under the big ass removable panel on the bottom. It might me stuck to off or hovering in the middle of off/on. Depending on the laptop it's probably right next to the wireless card.

Oh yea, a lot of operating systems can screw up like that too. Like my laptop has the same problem with Windows 7, works roughly with XP (wut?), but Linux works beautifully.

Software and boot sequence could play a major role in this, try Linux on a USB stick and report back and maybe it could help!

Hmm. Might be the power supply. Try a different one, if you have one. Also try resetting the bios to factory defaults. If that doesn't work, post the exact model number of your laptop, and I can try and help you find replacement parts if they are available.
