I feel like Games will only increase in price, due to inflation I don't mind paying £40 ($60) if the game has a single player and multiplayer aspect I.e. Dragon Age: Inquisition or Halo 5.
But when a game is multiplayer only then I won't pay over £20 for it and if it has a subscription attached then I'm definitely not going to play it, I don't see the point in paying £40 for a game to then pay £10 a month extra to play it.
It feels like we're getting less for our money as time goes on by, yearly releases are ridiculous, I feel like I don't miss the story enough and that the games are always rushed I.e. Assassins creed Unity is an excellent example, there's more assassin's creed games out there now than I could play in a reasonable amount of time, they have little to no replay value and they're basically clones.
Where games like GTA V have interesting plots, relatable characters and a decent amount of replay or continuous playability (GTA: Online & doing the missions differently)
But still people see hype and they pre-order ignorantly and they end up buying half completed or piss poor effort games and because gaming giants like EA know people will do this, they end up getting milked and then shafted, I personally feel like a majority of publishers release games that have huge release day patches which absolutely sucks because it takes hours to download them.
Another thing that bugs me is the rarity of a physical disc now, if you're going to release a game that is download only even if you buy a case for it, then actually include the game on a disc do not give me a download code inside of a shitty case, I buy discs to install my games directly so I don't have to spend hours downloading.
Anyway rant over.
TL;DR Battlefront is equal to buying bottled water.
