A USB sound card Is certainly the easiest option, and will perform almost just as good as one that's Internally placed.

I'll definitely be taking the USB route for convenience.

Good choice.

You will notice quite a significant difference In sound.

My friend recommended I get the Sound BlasterX G5 by Creative. I'll give them a good shot.

I've only heard positive feedback with Sound Blaster cards. Members reading this, correct me If you've experienced otherwise.

My gaming friend has (from memory) the Sound Blaster X-Fi, and no complaints whatsoever.

I'm seeing mostly positive feedback myself. I've been looking around in the reviews for the item trying to find a common issue with it to base my SE on. Since I didn't find much, I'll be claiming that my device isn't being detected by my computer.
