Sony headphones #1
I’m thinking of SE’ing a pair of headphones - looking at the WH-1000XM4 Noise Cancelling Headphones, which retail for circa £280 from Curry’s (UK). I was thinking of ordering online and then, potentially, SE’ing both the store and Sony. In terms of Curry’s, I was thinking either DNA or sealed box return (dependent on how it’s delivered). For Sony, thinking I’d do empty box after troubleshooting them as defective. So, some questions:

1) What’s Curry’s like at the moment? Signature on delivery and anyone had experience with sealed box returns? Any suggestions or things to watch out for?
2) Have you had experience troubleshooting with Sony and doing empty box returns? I’ve done Bose previously but that was some time ago!
3) What’s the risk is SE’ing both, ie is Sony likely to check POP with Curry’s? - obviously being notified of a return to the store would be somewhat of a red flag!

Really appreciate any insight and / or advice. TIA.

It's a little too heavy at 255 grams.

Of course, that's on the grounds that an Investigation Is opened.

Quote: or sealed box return
Can the Item be viewed externally without opening the box?

Thanks Mothered.

Yes, you’re right about the weight. Probably need to go with tampered parcel rather than EB.

No, you can’t see the item in the box.

Any experience with Curry’s?

What about cross-checking POP between retailer and Sony?

Thanks again

FYI Bose headphones Serial Number FTID works in uk, but takes an entire month. Worth it though because it's entirely free.

For more Information, you can read my latest article named "Missing Item Tampered Method".

Then the sealed box method Is well-suited.

They're requesting the POP for a reason, and not just for the sake of It.

There's every possibility that It will be cross-checked for administration purposes.

I'm also Interested to read the developments/outcome.

It's been over 3 months, so I assume the claim has been finalized, one way or another.

So, did it work with the headphones? I really need new ones, but I have no money for them at all, and such a trick could come in handy. Is there a beginner’s guide on how to perform such an operation? I’m new to this, and I’ve just found the topic in a google search.
The WH-1000XM4 headphones look good especially compared to my old earphones that almost don’t work now. I did some research on productz.com, and this Sony model is great. Hope I will manage to trick the customer support service in the way you describe.
But what is the risk? Can they sue me? Or would they just not bother with a single case?
