Yes, you've asked the claim be escalated a number of times, and they've failed to comply.

They're obligated to review the claim on request.

They're expecting the return of the correct Item, In your case, the wrong Item, so It will give them reason to check It when received.

Got it! I requested another escalation in addition to copies of the evidence, and mentioned how they’ve been purposefully ignoring me (which I could spin into a “CS do not value me or my option” type story). I guess we’ll find out what they decide todo soon - furthermore, I said that I’ll chase up escalation through a different route, if they would not help me.

Got it, if I do return it then it’ll be a legit return. I’ll save the strips for another time Smile.

In that case, It's obviously fine.

You can then Immediately SE the same product with another method, by using a totally different account.

I did have some ideas for that - I’ve been thinking of different ways to get around the OTP, and I think I have a few ideas that could be pretty effective.

I look forward to reading your plans.

With the previous SE, it looks like I’ve hit a brick wall:
“ Thank you for helping us better understand the activity on your account. We closely examined your account, any related accounts, and your order history to ensure that any decision regarding your account was made according to our policies.

If you have no further feedback regarding your shopping experience, we can close this conversation and you can continue to shop as usual on Amazon.co.uk.

We cannot issue a refund for this order until we receive the correct item. Please return the correct item to us by 12 Feb 2022 if you would like a refund.

This decision is final. We will likely not respond to further emails about this issue.”

They really don’t wanna talk about it anymore - I’m thinking it could be account related after all :/.

Judging by their previous replies as well as this, I also believe It Is your account that's caused significant complications.

You have the option of returning the Item as requested, then reordering on a totally different account, and SEing It with another method.

Got it, I’ll just return it normally then.

I have a few questions about opening a new account if it’s ok. I’ll change every detail I can, but does this have to include surname?

With the address, I’ve read that I can just shuffle it around? E.g. ‘16, John smith road’ could go to ‘No 16 John smith road’ or perhaps ‘16A John smith road’. Would this be enough?

Also, with the card, I’m not sure how to go about changing that. I only have 1 account at the moment. Should I open a new account at the bank, get a VCC, report my current card as lost/stolen, etc? I’d be grateful for any advice you could give regarding this.

I actually have another card with me, but it’s linked to the same account - does this actually count as a different card? I tried using it on Uber eats for a different account, but it claimed that I’ve used it before so assumed they were viewed as same by businesses.

In a nutshell, you need to change each and every Identifiable detail so that absolutely nothing Is linked to previous accounts, device Included.

Amazon Is exceptionally good at detecting multi-accounting, hence the new account must be completely disassociated from the others.

Got it. Do you have any advice for finding a new payment method?

And should I use a completely different address?
