Ok, got it. I’ll try to order them today Biggrin.

I have one final question if it’s ok; will Amazon chase up my friend (the other account), asking about what they received?

I've yet to experience anything of the sort.

I ordered the iPhone on my account, and got my friend to order the other phone on his account. The iPhone is coming Wednesday, and I got the other phone to be Amazon day delivered on Wednesday too - that’s when I’ll be at my friend’s house.

Is there anything else that I can do to prepare, etc? Or anything that I need to watch out for?

Are you looking on Amazon? If you look through all the colourways, there are usually a couple of devices available - just checked, there are iPhone 13 & 13 pros, didn’t check the maxes but I’d assume there are some available too

No worries haha. If this does work, however, you may as well go for the 13 (pro) Wink, unless there are financial, etc, issues at hand so need to go for smaller items. & another note about the 12s/SEs - make sure they’re sold by Amazon, rather than Amazon warehouse. I could be wrong, but I think it’s easier to SE this way. I looked for a few and could only see refurbs being sold by the warehouse, but I could be wrong:

& final thing, about your PM - yeah I’d love to make a list with you! I tried to reply but I think your PMs are turned off or something Biggrin

We've discussed everything pertaining to the method's formulation, so you're good to go with the execution.

Hey @mothered , sorry to ping you again but I’m getting kinda nervous about this SE. I know you said it doesn’t matter about when the two orders are placed, but in the end my friend didn’t order it in time yesterday & so ordered it earlier today instead. The iPhone was dispatched a few hours ago, but the other phone hasn’t been dispatched yet (both arriving tomorrow tho).

I was wondering if you could tell me more about the mechanics of this SE - do Amazon think they put the wrong item into the box or something? I was thinking that if the orders were placed too far apart, then the desired phone would be packed up and sent off before the secondary one even started its journey in the warehouse.

The timing Is still fine, so there's nothing to worry about.

In short, Amazon will be under the Impression that they've dispatched the Item to the wrong address - which Is your address, hence you've received a different Item to what was originally ordered.

Whether It's a picking/packing/administration error, carried-based or otherwise, Is not your concern. All you need to focus on, Is that you've received the wrong Item. If you're not comfortable and confident with the method, opt for another one, such as the sealed box method.
