Wouldn't using the same payment information be having association to the primary account? Or don't they cross check payment information to see if the same bank credentials are used on a different account?

I got my mate to buy the other one, so there’s no connection whatsoever. If you wanted to do it, however, you could just use a VCC connected to a different card, so there’s no link at all.
