I'll state the obvious that you've probably heard many times over.

Have a look at the top 100 torrents (example on TPB), bind your RAT to a file that fits the capacity of the original file, and upload thereafter. In the description, Include some features/options/perks that entices users to select yours over the others.

I used to create game cheats for facebook games like mafia wars , bejewelled ect and would have a auto update service that just basically checked a website for the current version of the program and if a new one existed downloaded a .exe that I could set. So after I was getting about 10k request a day to my server I would just release a "update" that although functioned like a working cheat , downloaded a rat in the background.

The key was to build trust first so they did not know what hit them.
