Just given a smart phone what are all the cool things you're able to do that mere mortals can't ?

Depends on the smartphone.
Assuming the phone is online and can make calls:

- If it's an android phone or sailfish or something similar, (theoretically) I can hack into companies, people's personal computers and other crap. (theoretically) I can also code a bunch of crap, but all of the above is annoying to do on small screens.
- With JUST an iPhone, I can go and crash other people's iPhones. If it's jailbroken I can do quite a bit.
- If it's a windows phone, I can use it as a paperweight.
