What is Smart Assembly?

.NET applications can be easy to disassemble if they haven't been obfuscated. SmartAssembly is an obfuscator that helps protect your application against reverse-engineering or modification, by making it difficult for a third-party to access your source code. (Please note that like any obfuscator, SmartAssembly cannot stop someone cracking your software if they are determined to do so. However it can add a barrier of protection instead of providing the source code on a plate.)

Warning:

I used this quite a long time ago and found the download again, I did a virus scan and the patch had a large infection ratio, it worked when I used it before, but use the patch at your own risk.

How to set up:

1. Extract the archive in one folder.
2. Run the setup.
3. Now copy the other file we got inside the archive named SmartAssembly_Loader.exe and paste it in the folder where you installed Smart Assembly.
4. Run the SmartAssembly_Loader.exe and it'd show some screen after which it'd start Smart Assembly which would be a Professional Version (Full Version).
5. So everytime you want to protect & obfuscate your application, just run SmartAssembly_loader and enjoy the professional (full) version of Smart Assembly.
