Small, Simple But Effective Apple SE (Via Amazon) #1
Hi all, I haven’t posted or been active in a small while. But I always enjoy coming back here to update & learn new methods through experiences shared - Fantastic community!

Reason for my post being I have a simple idea that I assume has already been exercised among a member here, so would much appreciate any insights.

Will be an SE on Apple Magic Mouse (Newest Gen) Via Amazon - Both delivered and fulfilled by.

I currently have an older version of the same item which I recently purchased 2nd hand at a fraction of the price. Perfect condition, no noticeable marks, scratched ect.
It was purchased with this idea in mind as brand new is always preferred!

Idea as follows:

Potential Method would be, upon receipt of item, replacing with said identical mouse. Then returning stating not working to my satisfaction.

I understand they may have separate serial numbers so on and do fourth, but with it being fulfilled by Amazon, what is the likelihood they will check. As long as they are seeing the supposed original item in box, seemingly new state, surely the success rate should be high?

Please correct as necessary! - I will keep thread updated as order arrives. Thanks for your time

They may believe the Item has lost some type of functionality, hence It will give them reason to check the return for defects.

Use another reason for the return.

Understood, !
Something along the lines of, the reason for return being I’m a 3D designer and the mouse doesn’t give enough functionality for the program I use.
This should remove a reason to be checked as no faults stated?

That, or simply "a change of mind" which complies with their return policy, and Is less likely to trigger the need to check the return.

Update: Refund issues & item received by company.

The refund came before the item was delivered, but I understand they do advanced refunds as long as the item reaches them within a specific time limit?

As of now, refund received, they have item back in their possession. So unless a dispute or chargeback is issued i guess this method is plausible.

For the most part, Amazon requires the Item be returned before proceeding with the refund, but they do at times credit accounts at their discretion before receiving the product.

It may work every so often, but It's not something you can rely on for most SEs under the same/similar circumstances.
