Sinister.ly Milestone #1
Just for curiosity i view the source of the new advertising on the site. For me advertising doesn't work but that doesn't mean that there aren't people ready to pay top dolar for a advertising space. I tend to stay away from them in any forms and formats but i did visit the advertiser site. As a user of the forum and because i'm not the admin i don't bother with the attention span and other advertising related metrics such as how to increase the clicks and how well is performing a banner, etc, etc... This type of things on the long run turn webmasters just interested in numbers and not focus on what really matter the people.

Well, back to the subject 3,152 pageviews in 1 day that's a great result.

I'm not sure what you're saying. We sell advertisements in order to cover server costs and allow other entities the opportunity to reach our members. For advertisers, numbers should matter. For me (the publisher) numbers aren't really a concern. Ads are sold by request and we make enough money that I often choose not to sell them. That being said, there's actually been 80,000+ views for the ad we've sold already.

The Pirate Bay has literally made millions from revenue raised via ads, and they continue to fund their costs (and a lot more) In the very same way.

I'm not one for ads either, but my opinion doesn't change the fact that they do In fact work.
EDIT: Info added.

80,000+ views, i didn't knew that this forum was so popular. In the publisher side if the advertiser is pre-paying for the ads you don't have to care about performance. I run a shity site a few years ago and at first i was having my attention on giving the users a good experience in the site giving them the best i could provide but at end when all started to fall down i had only one focus and it was in extracting the maximum profit from the site monitoring all the traffic and promote as much as possible (kinda retarted there). Then i start receiving an avalanche of fake clicks, the statcounter service registered a huge amount of clicks in the ads but when checking in the publisher plataform only a few were valid. I took the site a few times down and come up thinking i could start from zero but i couldn't handle it so i quit (That was like 7 years ago).

About the advertiser site, LeakHub is similar to a few services that come up last year, a search engine for leaked databases. This means that the owner has enough knowledge about cracking databases or simply is extracting the emails and publishing on the site. If he is cracking databases then he can provide a premium service where a visitor pay to have access to a plain text password. The problem here is if the site is not well hidden be prepared to be raided by the police at any time like what happen with leakedsource which was the one that provided the twitter password for Mark Zuckerberg twitter account (If i'm not wrong).

I use uBlock Origin and a bunch of other cool Firefox add-ons, so my eyes will never see your ads! MUHAHAHAHAHAH

I mean I personally think ads are a pain in the ass, and so I have several service that block them, but I understand the prospect of why people would use them.

That's rude...
There's no reason to say it in his face. Block quietly, don't scream about it.
