Highlight more on the technology side and less on the other sides. I mean, stuff like 'market' doesn't even need to be there. Apart from that it looks good.

I'd say replace the cross fade with a glitch effect or two.

Needs a little fire in my opinion add some fire to the empty spaces on the side plus it is kind of like a devil logo so fire will spice it up a bit.
But for real it does look good but the empty spaces on the side are a slight turn off.

I really love it! Not as keen on it saying "general" because I feel like that sounds a little.... well general. However, regular forum users will know it means general discussion is welcome here, so perhaps that does fit well.
I really love the effects but I would be interested to see how it would look with a "glitch" as Lux said. You could compare the two. It looks very clean and professional at the moment but then maybe that glitch effect may make it more eye catching and intriguing.

A simplistic clean design is attractive.

See even your GF is saying it.
Yeah a glitch effect might work.. There was a tutorial on here somewhere on how to do it.
