I just noticed that he got double life + 40 years without a possibility for parole, that's fucking crazy imo.

Well the silk road dealt with murder, human trafficking, drugs and weapons. I think the sentence is harsh but if you think about it, the silk road is responsible for A LOT of illegal trafficking. Murder for hire services were also something they allowed people to use it for.
