I tried to SE a Rode Microphone with S/N Method, this is the response;
"Thanks for getting in contact, we're very sorry to hear about the NT2-A not working. It sounds like it could be a fault with the capsule.
While I won't be able to assist you from where I am in Australia, our local representative will be happy to quickly repair or replace your product, as they work on behalf of RØDE and manage all service and warranty claims in your country.
If you haven't done so already, you can register your product by visiting warranty.rode.com. If your device is no longer under warranty, the service of your product is at the discretion of the distributor.
(RØDE may not accept any warranty repair without the original proof of purchase of the RØDE product or without the registration of the RØDE product during the warranty period. For further reference regarding the RØDE Warranty Terms and Conditions, please see here: rode.com/warranty/terms).
I have also alerted the team at *name of local rapresentative* that you've contacted us. They are expecting to hear from you and will be pleased to get this resolved.
I will "solve" and close this ticket for now, you will shortly receive a satisfaction survey. However, if you need further help or are not able to get a timely response from our local representative, please get back in touch with me directly. You can do that by replying to this ticket and it will open the case back up.
Kind Regards,
RØDE Service and Support"
Then local rapresentative sent me a mail where they asked me to fill out a form to obtain the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) for a repair request. In the form is made explicit: "-The RMA procedure does not provide, except in particular cases, for the direct replacement of the product.
- The product returned with RMA will be checked and verified by us. technical department within a maximum of 7 days. working hours starting from the date of
receipt of the defective product (not the RMA form).
- The times for solving the problem depend exclusively on the nature of the problem, the availability of spare parts and will
Our care is to make them as short as possible.
- The shipping costs of the defective product to us are borne by the customer, the return to the customer is borne by us only
if the product falls within the warranty terms.
- The defective product must reach us within the 15th day from the date of issue of the RMA number. After this deadline the number
is no longer valid and will have to be requested again."
So should I keep contacting Rode for a replacement directly from them and perhaps tell them local rapresentative couldnt help me? It might work?
