I think I'm trying to think of the worst possible scenario happening. I can't think of a reason why the iPhone packaging would be opened as its a manufactured seal? If the rice moves around inside the box, that may prompt them to investigate what's going on and open it.I've tested this theory already. I actually used a food processor and ground the rice down into a fine powder. I also encased the rice in plastic wrap and made sure it was as compressed as it possibly could be. Once closed and fully sealed I shook the box and couldn't hear a thing.
sounds good, if you tested and inspected everything before shipping out then theirs absolutely no reason for them to open it. smart idea with the ground rice, looking forward to a successful SE!
Assuming the packaging won't be opened, the next person who would receive my return would definitely call up customer services complaining that they received a box full of rice. At that point what may happen? My return would have changed so many hands as it is delivered to somebody else, so surely there is no definitive way of tracing it back to me?

Any recommendations as to what I could possibly replace it with? I've been trying with rice and that seems to work so far. Though I've had to remove the internal packaging such as the shell in which the phone sits. Removing this gives me more space, but I also have to account for the weight difference once this and the other accessories are removed. I've placed some replica security seals on the back and the packaging looks legit.
Considering the security seals are essentially put on by the manufacturer, what are the chances that the actual iPhone box is opened by the retailer to check that the phone and everything else is still in there?

In the unlikely event the return Is opened and checked, there's a backup plan to return the legit phone for a refund. Then reorder It on a totally different account, and use another method to SE It.
