SE = Social Engineering
DNA = Did not arrive/receive method is when you claim you never received the package

Oh, thanks for the reply!! So I'm assuming the DNA method can only be used for deliveries u didn't have to sign for? Do stores generally resend or refund you when you make this claim? Also, I'm reading stuff about weights of packages and advice on making sure you have an item of the exact weight. Please advise. Thanks again

DNA can be used for package that gets delivered with no signature or with signature. If you sign it make sure to use a different name. It could go both ways they can either investigate or they'll offer a refund or a replacement. For the missing item method I believe there's a certain weight that you can use the method with but I'm not 100% sure what's the most an item can weight to be able to use the missing item method.

The Item Is too heavy.

If they cross-check the consignment with the carrier, and determine that the dispatched weight corresponds to the weight on receipt of the package, the SE will fail.

Would wrong item received work?

It certainly will.

Something as cheap as a pack of A4 copy paper, that Is In fact around the same size and depending on the quantity per pack, the weight can easily be matched. Though, given the cost of the laptop, do expect an Investigation opened and a somewhat lengthy claims process.

Sure.

The term "SE" Is an abbreviation of "Social Engineering", and "DNA" Is short for "Did Not Arrive". In terms of the DNA method, as the name Implies, you simply claim that the package did not arrive- although you did In fact receive It. If all goes well with the claim, a refund/replacement Is Issued to the account holder thereafter.
