Samsung RMA #1
Hi, guys! I've recently SE'd a SSD from a known company. Now i have something on my mind. What if I contact Samsung and i claim the SSD is not working and ask for RMA? Then just send them the box of the item without the item itself. It's a 980 PRO so it weights around 20-30g. My question is will they send a replacement before they check the return? Anyone with a fresh experience?

If you don't give them reason to check the return, they most likely won't.

Does the box support using the sealed box method?

Well i already told them the item is not working anymore, so this suggests, that i have opened and used it for a while. That is why i believe they will check and test the item before they send a replacement. Any ideas how to bypass this?

Why not just box return the item to original purchase?
Samsung nvme's are the easiest to box.
I even handed one back in person to the shop and got my refund.

Given the Item weighs 30 grams at the most, stating the obvious, simply box them when they request the return.

Well i shipped the item via DHL's prepaid Return label and now i will see if this goes thru. Because they told me they will test the item and them send a replacement or repair it. So probably i have 50% chance of success.

What Item did you actually send?

Just the original box of the SSD with everything inside, without the item itself.

Due to your claim of a nonfunctional Item as the reason for the return, I'd say they'll check It before Issuing a refund/replacement.

Fingers crossed they don't.
