SE method for logitech mouse 10-27-2022, 10:45 AM

Purely hypothetical, but interested in SE'ing Logitech mice, specifically the g pro superlight, the g303 SE, the g703, etc.
They are all between 60 -100 grams so the boxing method might work. But I've heard they request proof of destruction more often than not
Has anyone had luck with disposing of faulty item method? An idea I had was claiming that the lithium polymer battery had caught fire/overheated, causing the plastic to melt and burn my son.
Unfortunately I haven't heard of any case of this actually happening. I think the battery may be too small/the mouse itself draws too little power to cause this issue.
Another question: would SE work better in this case with retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon or directly from the logitechg website?
Any feedback/suggestions are welcomed! Thanks.
