Because the gift was purchased via Amazon, it makes it difficult for us to handle this inquiry.

Of course we sympathise with your position and so want to offer as much help as possible. Our warranty covers defective items due to fault of production or material only however, so can you contact Amazon and let them know that the manufacturer's warranty only covers damaged items. Hopefully then Amazon will refund the gift purchaser their money back. Also we advise that the person who bought the FLIP HOLE BLACK to contact Amazon so that they can present a receipt as proof of document.

Please do this and then contact us again with Amazon's response.
