SE Printer #1
Hi, I would like to get an inkjet printer, no matter what brand and it doesn't even have to be expensive. I was considering Epson and HP but I couldn't find any current topics when someone tried SE on a printer.
My question is what method to use to have the greatest chance of success. Maybe some of you have already tried such SE and what specific brand?
I would appreciate any comments below! Biggrin

Make several small purchases on Amazon then buy your printer, then say DNA.

A printer is a bit too heavy for any other method.

A WIR, same brand same weight might just work. You'll have to do some research on the weight tho., which is a hassle.
If you like some field work, you can go to a big electronics store and actually weigh the items yourself with a 'travel balance'. All you need is a small belt to put around the box of the item, the travel balance, and 10seconds. Don't do it secretly, but do it when the salesmen are busy.
Nobody will care. And if they do come up to you, you openly say 'I am weighing this item to send it as a gift, I know this looks weird, I have weird family traditions'.
They'll laugh with you, you'll laugh at them. You go home and do your thing.

Yes for sure it will work but in most cases DNA will trigger PR on amazon and I don't want to waste PR on a printer that costs a few hundred. I was thinking more about some more creative method related to SN.

In my opinion it will be difficult to find something of similar weight and the same brand when it comes to printers, and even if I managed to find something like that, I would pay too much for the wrong item and then the SE would not make any sense. Do you have any ideas what I could use as a wrong item from a company such as HP or EPSON?

Ah OK, SN you say. Go to a store and find a printer, see if it shows the SN on the box. Then go to the printer brands website and say it doesn't work/overheats/etc. and the store you bought it from won't help you.

But I think that in most cases, the manufacturer will tell me to return the printer and what should I do in such a situation? FTID?

If you say a serious excuse such as it caught fire they won't ask for a return. Problem is they will ask for pictures.

If you say a poor excuse such as it doesnt work, they will ask for a return.

Try and find a balanced reason (electric shock etc.)

Either way, you will need to force them to create the returns label for you. To answer your question, yes you will need to do FTID.
