Now that I think about it. There probably could be a way to be able to steal a plane before takeoff in the perfect circumstances. But it would be so damn slim. I would never see anybody doing it.

Would make for a good television episode too.

It's kinda hard to hide a jet though.

• Get a commercial pilot's license and job
  
• Find an empty jet plane (don't ask.)
  
• Fly it over an ocean and to another country where you have a hidden airstrip in the jungle
  
• Place floating airplane debris in the ocean

• $$ sell plane to enemy country after things cool down $$

Buy an Aeroplane, it happens to "breakdown and crash" when it's being delivered to you. No one knows the where it is because its in your garage, you need a plane asap so you request another one for the inconvenience.

When not In use, airplanes are stored In their respective airfields.

It's all about bypassing (SE'ing) security and gaining access thereafter. With the appropriate credentials, research, pretext and methodology formulation, I'd say your chances are more so than not.
