Steam Description:
You become a survivor in the zombie infested ruins of society, and team up with your friends to remain among the living. Unturned is a sandbox game in the emerging multiplayer apocalypse survival genre. Rather than focusing on being an MMO it provides players with easy systems to sit down and survive the zombie infestation with their friends. Over the course of a typical adventure, groups will have a blast fortifying locations, scavenging for supplies, trying to live off the land and negotiating with other people. The game is being developed entirely with the community in focus, and tons of features are based entirely on feedback.

Summary (6/10):
Unturned allows you to play a high risk survival game, with many awesome features on a potato.
Unturned was a project started by a teenager, Nelson Sexton. It revolves around survival, but also has PvP (player versus player) combat, as well as modes that disable this feature. It has a 3rd person mode, to let you cheat peak around corners. I honestly had no idea what to expect from this game when I first downloaded it. My first impression was some sort of DayZ and Minecraft mash up, and that is sort of what this game is.
Gameplay (5/10) :
The gameplay in unturned is a little under-developed but that's because the game has one developer, working on a game that is technically "Early Release" still. The gunplay is solid, and can be considered more realistic than games like H1Z1 and other HIGH END company games, which I find hilarious. There are no objectives other than to survive, and gather achievements, so after a while you become that troll on the hill, hidden, sniping fresh spawns. It's almost inevitable. I've learned through my days of playing that you should never, and I mean never trust someone who says they are friendly. The game also has vehicles, which allows for the user to go around running newbs over, or getting shot out of the vehicle in question. Again, Nelson outdoes large game companies in the vehicle aspect as they work better than games like Payday 2, or even DayZ. Sadly there aren't that many options for weapons, or vehicles, and there definitely aren't any planes or helicopters yet, so that's why the gameplay gets a 5. Also the lack of a story for single player makes it less enjoyable alone.

Here are the different aspects of the game directly from steam:
Fortification:
Players can build massive forts out of structural building blocks, or build onto smaller buildings in the world with barricades. It is also possible to create traps and intricate electronic systems. More options for building are constantly being added based on what the community requests.
Survival:
It is entirely possible to live off the wilderness by harvesting resources, fishing, growing crops and hunting animals down. What sort of survival stuff is added is entirely decided by the community.
Explore:
The game goes where the community wants it to. The initial release map is set on the lovely Prince Edward Island, but over the next few months many more locations will arrive for players to explore depending on what the community wants to see. Currently the island has plenty of interesting locations to discover and loot.
Bandits:
Players can choose to enter player versus player servers and battle other players to steal their gear. Banditry is highly supported with plenty of weapons and sneaky devices.
Heroes:
Players can join player versus environment servers to team up with other people, and easily create clans to play with their pals.
System Requirements (10/10) :

Art & Sound (3/10) :
The art aspect of unturned is also extremely under-developed, but that's because the only dev doesn't have time to focus on the art. I can't say much about the art other than that it reminds me a lot of games like Trove, or Minecraft. It isn't too bad for the style of gameplay that takes place, and sort of makes it a unique survival game in my opinion. Though for the low graphic quality, it is sub-par to some games I guess. The sound in the game are just sound files from other games, so that's sad to see happening also. It does support user made content, so that's the most part of the low rating 3/10.
Here is some artwork for the game (link)
Here you can find user made content (link)
Community (7/10) :
The community in Unturned has an aura of elitist almost, which makes it harder to learn for new players, but the community isn't constantly telling each other to drink bleach other *cough* csgo *cough*. Unturned is a team based game, in my opinion. It's much better if you can find a group of friends to go and wreck other players with, or you just won't have enough power to overtake someone camping in a sky base, or otherwise. The community is somewhat easy to join, even with the elitist feel to it, and as long as you somehow contribute, you are accepted.
