Im trying to DNA a typically easy store but now they are requiring a police report which I filed and gave to them. They responded with this

"Thank you for your patience and cooperation in this matter.

Thank you for submitting your police report for order ######. We will now begin our investigation with the Police Department. Please allow until June 28, 2022 for us to conclude the investigation with the appropriate parties.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions."

Is there anything you recommend me doing while I wait? Is there any concern?

Not at all , its my buddys house were working on some DNA's so its a fairly fresh house.

So I did the PR but it got DENIED because it was apparently from the wrong PD. The correct sherrifs department does NOT have an online form to fill one out so I would have to most likely call it in. My question is, do you think it would be a bad idea to call with my phone, my phone number is linked to past DNA's from the same company im pretty sure. Or you think it should not matter and just give them my buddies phone number when having them fill it out the police report. We are doing DNA's with all his info.

Isn't your address and other details also linked to previous DNAs, which you'll obviously need to provide when filing the report?

No I am using all of his info / details for my DNA.

In that case, don't use your personal phone number that's associated with your other DNAs.

Unfortunately this particular PD's online report system is down and would require me to go in and file it in person. Any recommendations on getting around the PR for the refund ?
