I'm starting a dog rescue in Toronto. If you don't want a bunch of innocent dogs being euthanized or dying in the streets then message me if you can design a good looking website.

Wordpress

Simple, easy and all you need.

Perhaps you should have given this a more descriptive title.

With a rescue service I think you'll want to focus more on content and contacting. You won't be needing transitions and images like a portfolio.
I honestly think Wordpress would be the best fit for this situation. Easy to manage and control.
