  • If I say the inside of the package was missing: I could do it but in that sense I may be forced to send the package back (without the item of course), but losing the possibility to sell the item since I don't have anymore its original box.
  • If I box the item sending back something else: I can keep the package + the item, without caring whether or not the company which sold me the item had a CCTV system.

Am I wrong?

@mothered
Does it make difference where I order it (producer or third seller)?
The rows I wrote above should holds for both of them, right?

I have just noticed that my phrase contained an error, but you understood anyway. Thank you.

That is actually what I am planning to do with a wallet.

@mothered sorry to bother you, I read yesterday your article on your blog: "Do not overthink the SE" and I would like to hear your opinion about this:

As I already mentioned weeks ago I am planning to Refund a Gucci wallet. I was planning to buy the item from here: https://www.farfetch.com, the fact is that the product on there are shipped from various boutiques, so, I was just thinking that If I were the boutique's owner before sending a 300€ item I would take a photo of the inside or the product during the packaging, it will cost me just a few seconds, just to make sure to do not have bad experiences with SErs, and the end it's Gucci, they should be aware of these kinds of tricks from costumers (such as a customer using the missing item in the package).

What do you think? Am I overthinking this SE or not? Would you change website/method?
Honestly I think the method is fine.

Thanks for your opinion and that one of anybody else about this.

In my view, you're thinking of the "probabilities" that're most likely to occur/take place (and not coming up with some story that's farfetched), so you're on the right track with the method.

I can't know if they take photos of the product inside the box while packaging the item, thus the method it's (may be under some circumstances) risky. Either I change product , method or website where buy it.

I will try to find other websites where buy it, even if Gucci products are not widely present on third parties website.

Hit a practice run on a very cheap Item, and see If there's any mention of photos/video footage.

I don't have the possibility to do it.
I read on Trustpilot that a user had purchased an item from GUCCI in this summer and returned them. They didn't receive it and they denied the claim for a refund.

So I was thinking of paying with PayPal but I can't since I've already done 2 refunds in November and It would be too suspicious.

Should I hit them via cc boxing them or should I do something different? I never hit GUCCI before but I don't think they will be so easy to SE, they should be aware of SE techniques.

When was the last time you did a chargeback via your credit card provider, or a bank reversal through your bank/merchant?

I have never done that. I'm not even aware if it's possible here in EU.

If you have time, do look Into It.

When a PayPal dispute/claim fails, you can turn to your credit card provider for a chargeback and If successful, they will overturn the original decision.
